MSC Pesach 2026

CHECKING FOR HAMETZ!

We ask everyone to please check their belongings (Talit & Tefilin bags) to make sure that no food particles (candies, Hametz etc…) remain in the Synagogue before Pesach.

UPDATE

Wednesday April 1

Shahrit Minyan -

6 AM followed by siyum followed by burning of hametz

8 AM followed by siyum followed by burning of hametz  

For those who choose not to fast, you can attend a Siyum with Seudat Mitzva after Shahrit

►BRING ONLY THE 10 PIECES OF BREAD—USED IN BEDIKAT HAMETZ (SEARCHING FOR HAMETZ)

 

►NO ALUMINUM FOILS (it will not burn)

 

FDNY Regulations,

Only 2 burning of Hametz, Shahrit followed by burning! -  WE HAVE LIMITED TIME TO HAVE THE FIRE ON. WE CAN NOT WASTE TIME UNWRAPPING ALUMINUM FOIL THAT WILL NOT BURN ANYWAY. WRAP YOUR TEN PIECES OF BREAD IN PAPER TOWELS OR PRINTER PAPER.

5:16 AM          Taanit Bechorim, fast of the first-born, begins.

6 & 8 AM         Shahrit Minyan (each followed by Siyum at approx. 6:45 AM & 8:45 AM)

10:25 AM        Latest time to EAT Hametz

11:42 AM        Latest time to BURN Hametz

6:50 PM           Minha followed by Arvit for Yom Tov

7:02 PM           Candle lighting—First Seder
